Safety Town, a safety education program for preschoolers, June 18–29,
2001 at Waller School. During the 20-hour course, preschool children
learned safety behavior by participating in fun activities in a miniature
town just their size, complete with buildings, streets, sidewalks and
signs. Licensed instructors taught about safety both inside and outside
the home. Children also enjoyed field trips to the Burlington police and
fire departments.
